Overview

Alton McRee will discuss the pain points facing small business owners and buyers when planning their exit/purchase and how SBA financing can help secure the maximum amount for their small business as well as make funding available for buyers who may not qualify under traditional commercial financing. He’ll provide a brief introductory to SBA 7a financing and the areas to which it applies, then review SBA Guidelines as they relate specifically to Business Acquisitions as well as some tips and structures the speaker has seen be successful. Alton will explain SBA Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Guidelines and his insight and interpretation and past application of this information.

Alton McRee, President and CEO of American Bank, is a 45-year financial services industry veteran with a track record for driving financial results and high performance. His career has included commercial, agricultural and mortgage lending, SBA and USDA lending, asset management and loan portfolio administration, culminating in executive management leadership positions with several community banks and in the Farm Credit System. Alton is a hands-on leader in the Bank and in the community at large, active in many civic, corporate and trade organizations in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. The Quitman, Mississippi, native played wide receiver for Mississippi State University football team while a student earning his Business Finance and Banking degree. He is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. Alton and his wife of 45 years have two married children and six grandchildren.
