Staff and Senior Auditor Positions

For more than 50 years, the LLA has helped the state of Louisiana foster accountability and transparency within Louisiana’s government by providing the Legislature and others with audit services, fiscal advice, and other useful information.

As part of our career progression framework, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Staff or Senior level position depending on experience of the selected applicant.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications for all audit positions requires a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university (in any major). 
• In addition to the minimum qualifications for all auditor positions, each audit section has specific eligibility requirements that are needed to perform and fulfill the responsibilities associated with the work performed. 

Essential Qualifications per Audit Section: 

• Performance Audit: Advanced degree in any major. 
• Financial Audit & Recovery Assistance Audit: 24 credit hours of accounting and meeting eligibility requirements for the Louisiana CPA exam.  
• Investigative Audit: 15 credit hours in accounting with an advanced degree or meeting eligibility requirements for the Louisiana CPA exam.
