LDR Issues Guidance on Tax Extensions, Assessments, Audits, Litigation, Collection, and Other Matters
RIB 20-008 Tax Return Extensions and Other Matters Related to COVID-19
The purpose of this guidance is to provide filing and payment extension relief for certain taxes due on March 20, 2020, and to share other important information with our stakeholders.
The LCPA Advocacy Team continues to communicate with the Treasury Department and with the Louisiana Department of Revenue (LDR) regarding income tax extensions. We will update you when official guidance is issued.
ALL LOUISIANA PARISHES ELIGIBLE FOR COVID-19 BUSINESS AID
Today, Gov. John Bel Edwards announced that small businesses in all 64 Louisiana parishes will have access to federal Small Business Administration disaster aid in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.
To get started immediately, visit SBA.gov/Disaster. SBA offers a three-step process for disaster loans which is explained here.
Louisiana Economic Development also is offering COVID-19: Business Resources, an online guide to assistance available for impacted businesses. Look for updates to the guide at OpportunityLouisiana.com.
