The Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA) is pleased to announce that Stacey Lockwood, Director of Professional Oversight, and Lisa Williams, Chief Financial Officer, both have earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE®) designation. The CAE is the highest professional credential in the association industry.

“We are extremely proud of Stacey and Lisa for their commitment to continued learning and determination in pursuing the CAE designation,” says Ron Gitz, CPA, CGMA, LCPA Executive Director & CEO. “We know the value a credential can hold in the business world. As Stacey and Lisa improve their own competencies and learn how to better operate our association, the LCPA and our members will likewise benefit. There are only 21 CAEs in Louisiana, and we’re very fortunate to have two within our organization.”

To be designated as a Certified Association Executive, an applicant must have a minimum of three years experience with nonprofit organization management, complete a minimum of 100 hours of specialized professional development, pass a stringent examination in association management, and pledge to uphold a code of ethics. To maintain the certification, individuals must undertake ongoing professional development and activities in association and nonprofit management. The CAE Program is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).

LCPA ( is a non-profit professional association serving more than 7,000 current and future CPAs statewide. It is the premier organization of accountants in the state.
