|Name a Scholarship – Help a Student|
Each year Louisiana CPAs Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, offers scholarships to accounting majors in Louisiana. These scholarships are funded through private donations from members like you. With recent and future expected budget cuts to TOPS, and rising education expenses, your financial support of the scholarship program is needed more than ever.
Name Your Own Scholarship
Contribute $1500 or more and you can name your own scholarship. It could be named after your firm/company, or in honor of a loved one or someone who inspired you. The total annual amount you give is passed directly to the student — the Foundation does not retain any of the contribution.
Named Scholarships Benefit Students — and YOU!
For a tax-deductible, charitable contribution of $1,500 or more, your scholarship will be categorized as: “The (your company’s name) Scholarship.” Your named scholarship can be created as a one-time gift or as a continuing gift — there's no long-term commitment. You will enjoy the satisfaction of knowing you are helping a future accounting professional pursue a meaningful career. You will be recognized on the LCPA website for your named scholarship. You will be recognized in Lagniappe magazine (with a circulation of 7000+). How Recipients Are Selected Scholarship recipients are selected through LCPA’s annual application process and carefully reviewed by members of LCPA’s Career Awareness Committee. Applicants are judged on accounting and overall GPA, essay, and letters of recommendation. Scholarships are awarded in the spring.
Individual Donations Always Appreciated
Tax-deductible donations to the Foundation can be made anytime, 24/7 on our secure online contribution form. Your donation when combined with others' adds up to much needed financial support for students!
