Ted Stacey will discuss any important developments related to the 2017 Act, but it's time to move on and concentrate on new developments in individual income tax. He will also briefly mention some of the changes proposed by the presidential candidates.

Sorting Through Louisiana State and Local Tax Developments, Wayfair, Another Surplus, and What Could Happen Next

This presentation will explore the high points in 2019 including the post-Wayfair world, new refund procedures, and other legislative, judicial, and regulatory developments — all of which resulted in another significant state budget surplus.

The IRS has issued multiple rounds of guidance for the Opportunity Zone program since its enactment. This presentation will provide an overview of the program, walk attendees through the proposed regulations, and highlight the remaining open issues for the IRS to address in the future.
