Cybersecurity: Analyzing and Addressing the Risks to Your Technology Systems

Addressing cybersecurity has changed significantly over the last 5 years. Attacks on your technology systems and data have become more complex and are now focusing on ransom and financial fraud. While network penetration still must be addressed, we must also look at fake links, fraudulent emails, malicious websites, and even bogus phone calls and texting. This session will look at Social Engineering, the importance of a security training program, and why cybersecurity is more than just an IT responsibility. We will demonstrate how to identify and address email threats, ransomware, and scams.

Risk Assessment Under GAAS

It has been several years since the Auditing Standards Board issued the Risk Assessment Standards, yet our profession still struggles with implementation. A recent survey of peer reviewers found over half of 400 audits they reviewed were non-conforming due to lack of compliance with the risk assessment standards.
