Wayfair 9 Months Later: Who Wants Me to Collect Their Sales Tax?

As a Louisiana business selling to customers in multiple states, you need to know when other states can force you to collect their sales tax on goods and services delivered into their state. March 2019 will be nine months after the US Supreme Court ruling and by that time most, if not all states will have enacted laws or promulgated rules detailing who has economic nexus and must collect their sales tax. Even if you sell non-taxable goods or services into other states you need to take steps to protect yourself from an audit that may identify a liability for you.
