Membership categories are based on the positions held within a
company or the type of industry in which an individual works.

*Family & Employment Leave: Members on family or employment leave from their professional position in excess of six months may pay reduced dues of $160 until the member resumes active status. This option is subject to approval and annual renewal.

**Retired Members: A member must be retired full time from active status in any profession or business, whether or not related to an accounting function. The reduction in dues shall cease when the member resumes active full-time or part-time status.

***Candidate Members: Individuals who have graduated from college and are studying/sitting for Uniform CPA Exam, or have passed the Uniform CPA Exam after 6/18/99 and are working toward meeting the experience requirement for licensure.

Members Serving on Active Duty
According to LCPA Bylaws, Article II, Section 2(e), dues and assessments shall be waived for members who are serving on active duty, not including temporary training, with our Armed Forces.

Tax Information
While contributions or gifts to LCPA are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes, they may be deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses or under other provisions of the Internal Revenue Code subject to restrictions imposed as a result of association lobbying activities. LCPA estimates that the non-deductible portion of your 2014 dues allocable to lobbying is three percent (3%). The Louisiana CPA Education Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization and voluntary contributions to the Foundation are therefore tax deductible. Contributions to the PAC are not tax deductible.



Annual dues are billed May 1 and are payable June 30. Dues paid after June 30 are subject to a $30 late fee. After June 30, CPE discounts will no longer apply until dues are paid. Members not paid by Aug. 31 are subject to a $50 late fee. Membership will be terminated if not paid in full by Nov 1.
