Choose from the following committees:

  • Government
    This committee plans continuing education for members employed in the governmental area, being responsible for 4-8 hours of CPE for the annual governmental and non-profit day.
  • Business & Industry
    Increased industry member participation on a local level is the goal of this group. Specific projects include 8 hours of industry sponsored CPE.
  • Taxation
    This committee is responsible for the annual 8 hour CPE tax day on state and federal tax issues.
  • Social
    This committee is responsible for planning and hosting all Chapter-sponsored social functions.
  • Emerging CPAs
    This committee coordinates events with local professionals, universities, and high schools. The mission is to Engage, Connect, Promote and Aspire.
  • Golf Tournament
    This committee is responsible for planning and hosting our Annual Golf Tournament.
  • Women’s Initiative (New)
    This committee is responsible for planning and hosting 1 to 3 Women’s Initiative meetings during the year.
  • Marketing/Awareness/Sponsorships
    This committee is responsible for recommending ideas to the Board about better ways to get the word out to our members and the general public about what the BR Chapter does for its members and the community.

When will committees begin meeting?
The initial committee meeting will be held at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at the Baton Rouge Country Club, Fairway Room (8551 Jefferson Highway).

How often do committees meet?
While every committee is different, they generally meet one or two times per year.
