Plans CPE and activities for members employed in government and non-profit organizations; Responsible for planning and hosting 4-8 hours of CPE for Annual Governmental and Non-profit Day
Business & Industry
Focused on increasing industry member participation; Responsible for planning and hosting 8 hours of CPE for Annual Business & Industry Day.
Responsible for planning and hosting annual 8 hour CPE Tax Day on state and federal tax issues.
Responsible for planning and hosting all Chapter-sponsored social functions.
Coordinates events with local professionals, universities, and high schools; Engages, connects, promotes and aspires new CPAs and future CPAs.
Member Networking and Charity Event (formerly Golf Tournament)
Responsible for planning and hosting an annual event for members to network, have fun, and raise funds for a local charity.
Charged with addressing the issue of retention and advancement of women within the CPA profession through outreach and education; Responsible for planning and hosting 1 to 3 Women’s Initiative meetings during the year.
Responsible for recommending ideas to the Board about better ways to get the word out to our members and the general public about what the BR Chapter does for its members and the community.

What if I am not yet sure which committee I would like to serve on?
Don’t worry. Just RSVP that you will attend Committee Day and make no committee selections. You will have the opportunity to learn more and make your selections at Committee Day.
When will committees begin meeting?
The initial committee meeting will be held at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Baton Rouge Country Club, Fairway Room (8551 Jefferson Highway).
How often do committees meet
While every committee is different, they generally meet 1 to 3 times per year, either in-person or by conference call.
