Join the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants for
Financial Literacy Community Day
at the Louisiana Children’s Museum
August 13, 2016
420 Julia Street, New Orleans
Volunteers will facilitate career stations throughout the museum at which children perform a "job" to earn money. Then they can decide how to spend, save or share the money they've earned. Career stations include driving a police car, fire truck or ambulance, work in the grocery store or kid’s café, and simply helping kids learn through play.
Volunteers are needed for the following shifts:
10:30 am to 12:30 pm
12:30 to 3:00 pm
Any questions? Contact Ann Lupo at 504.904.1125 or email@example.com.
Volunteers may bring their children, but are asked that they be accompanied by another adult during their shift. Volunteers are admitted to the museum free of charge. All other guests are $8.50 per person, adults and children. LCM members and children under the age of one are admitted free.
Parking is available in nearby lots at an approximate cost of $5. The closest parking lots are the Residence Inn and PK1 lots with entrances on St. Joseph Street. Street parking is also available at parking meters but don’t forget your quarters. Each quarter will buy 12 minutes at the meter. City parking attendants are very diligent so please plan accordingly
