LCPA Honors Members' Achievements at Annual Meeting

The Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA) recently honored the following members at the association’s Annual Meeting in New Orleans on August 9. Outgoing Chair, Ralph Bender, recognized 12 distinguished individuals for their notable contributions to the community and the profession:

Linda Babin, CPA, CGMA, LCPA’s State Government Relations Director, received a Special Recognition Award for her outstanding representation of the association in ongoing policy discussions at the state and federal levels.

Roy Beyer, CPA, a partner with LaPorte CPAs & Business Advisors in Houma, received LCPA's Distinguished Public Service Award which is the highest honor for public service leadership, impact, involvement and innovation of a Louisiana CPA. 

Randy Bonnecaze, CPA, a Partner with Hannis T. Bourgeois, LLP in Baton Rouge, received LCPA’s Lifetime Membership Award to recognize his extensive record of achievement to benefit the future of CPAs throughout Louisiana.  

Gary Dressler, CPA, an Associate Director with Postlethwaite & Netterville's Tax Services Group in Metairie, received LCPA’s Special Recognition Award to honor his continued dedication to protecting the interests of Louisiana taxpayers and for his efforts to keep LCPA members updates on changes to Louisiana tax law. 

Stella Helluin, CPA, MBA, an Instructor of Accounting with Nicholls State University in Houma, received LCPA's Distinguished Achievement in Accounting Education Award which is presented annually to individuals who distinguish themselves as outstanding full-time accounting educators. 

Curtis P. Meaux, CPA, CGMA, retired Accounting Manager and Treasurer with Roy O. Martin Lumber Company, LLC in Alexandria, received LCPA’s Outstanding CPA in Business & Industry Award and a Lifetime Membership Award.

David L. Johnston, CPA, CGMA, CVA, ABV, CFF, a Partner with Johnston & Company, L.L.P., CPAs in Monroe, received LCPA’s Lifetime Membership Award. 

Raymond Ladouceur, JD, MBA, CPA, a partner with Raymond P. Ladouceur, CPA, LLC in Abita Springs, received LCPA's Distinguished Service Award to honor his outstanding, long-term commitment to the CPA profession.

Warren Pays, CPA, a sole practitioner in Metairie, received LCPA’s Lifetime Membership Award to recognize his extensive record of achievement to benefit the future of CPAs throughout Louisiana.

William Potter, CPA, Senior Tax Director with Postlethwaite & Netterville, APAC in Baton Rouge. received LCPA’s Special Recognition Award to honor his continued dedication to protecting the interests of Louisiana taxpayers, his service on the state's Task Force on Structural Changes in Budget and Tax Policy, and his contributions to the creation of the Louisiana Tax Institute.

Gerard Schreiber Jr. CPA, a partner with Schreiber & Schreiber, CPAs in Metairie, received LCPA's Outstanding Discussion Leader Award. 

C. “Cody” White Jr. CPA, CGMA, MPA, PFS,
a Partner of Counsel with Heard, McElroy & Vestal in Shreveport, received LCPA’s Lifetime Membership Award to recognize his extensive record of achievement to benefit the future of CPAs throughout Louisiana.
