GAAP Update, Including the New Not-for-Profit Financial Statements Standard (ASU 2016-14)

This presentation summarizes the latest developments in GAAP affecting not-for-profit organizations. We’ll discuss both recent standards (ASUs) and projects in the pipeline, encompassing topics such as NFP Financial Statements, Revenue Recognition, Leases, Financial Instruments, FASB Simplification and Disclosure Framework projects, and the FASB’s important current project on NFP Grants and Contracts. The session will cover essential, need-to-know information to help foster awareness and general knowledge. We will also take a “deeper dive” into ASU 2016-14 Presentation of Financial Statements of Not-for-Profit Entities effective for fiscal years beginning December 15, 2017.
