Are you looking to gain efficiency in your daily Excel use? Consider our 4-part webinar series designed to take you through Excel from A to Z and show you how to elevate your daily use of Excel to the next level. This series will use accounting-centric examples, developed for accountants, by accountants. Part Two of the series focuses on formulas and data analysis within Excel. In this portion of the series, learn how to properly build formulas for easy replication and reference throughout a spreadsheet. Numerous formulas specifically geared towards accountants will be discussed, including a variety of lookup functions for tax tables, charts of accounts and inventory systems as well as controlling output from formulas resulting in errors.

Objectives

Upon completing this course, you should be able to:

  • Utilize Excel's formula-building tools
  • Create and audit complex formulas, including those containing arrays and SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, INDEX, and MATCH functions
  • Identify which built-in Excel tools might be used to aid in “what if” situations, such as Data Tables for sensitivity analysis, and Excel's Goal Seek, Scenario Manager and Solver features
  • Utilize Excel's Macro Recorder tool to create simple, yet very useful, macros that you can put to work right away
