Are you looking to gain efficiency in your daily Excel use? Consider our 4-part webinar series designed to take you through Excel from A to Z and show you how to elevate your daily use of Excel to the next level. This series will use accounting-centric examples, developed for accountants, by accountants. Part One of the series focuses on customizing and using Excel more efficiently. In this portion of the series, you will learn how to customize the Excel interface to meet your specific needs. Additionally, numerous techniques will be discussed to help reduce the amount of time you spend on mundane tasks, such as formatting. You will also learn how to collaborate with other users using the Excel and Excel Online interfaces as well as discuss the importance of security within each of your Excel workbooks.

Objectives

Upon completing this course, you should be able to:

  • Customize Excel's user environment, including the Ribbon and the Quick Access Toolbar, adjust Excel's Options to improve efficiency, and create and use Templates to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Implement tools and techniques for formatting data in Excel, including multiline column headings, the Accounting Format, custom date and number formats, and Conditional Formatting
  • Identify and implement the best techniques to secure sensitive information in Excel workbooks and collaborate with other users to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Identify situations in which various Excel features can increase productivity such as navigating and referencing data with hyperlinks, efficiently using the Office Clipboard between MS Office solutions and creating custom list data for more efficient data sorts
