ASU 2016-14 Presentation of Financial Statements of Not-for-Profit Entities: Change Is Coming!

In August 2016, the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) issued ASU 2016-14, Presentation of Financial Statements of Not-for-Profit Entities. This ASU will change the way all NFPs classify net assets and prepare financial statements. It is effective for annual financial statements issued for fiscal years beginning after December 15, 2017. This session will recap on the key changes we can expect to see in NFP financial statements, what organizations should be doing to prepare, and how to communicate with your Board and other stakeholders around the impact of the new accounting standard.
