Accounting Education Issues Committee
Committee Structure & Function
This committee shall consist of no more than eleven members representing a diversity of members in accounting education, public accounting and industry.
The objectives of the Accounting Education Issues Committee are to obtain a better understanding of the various issues facing accounting educators, to inform members of those matters, to hold meetings of educators to examine accounting education, and to address other needs of members in accounting education, to:
a) Upgrade the status of schools and departments of accounting and institutions of higher learning.
b) Raise standards of curricula for accounting students in colleges and universities.
c) Improve education standards for the CPA certificate.
