Here are some tips to make the most of your online experience!

1. GET READY.

Issues can come up from almost anywhere—from your viewing device to your internet connection. These courses are far more complex than a YouTube video due to attendance checkpoints, chat, and slides, so a few advance measures can prevent issues during the course.
  1. TEST your laptop/computer with the right internet speed. There’s nothing worse than signing on and not seeing video or hearing audio. We’ll provide system requirements in advance. To test your internet speed, go to speedtest.net and click "BEGIN TEST.” (You want a minimum of 3 Mbps download speed).
  2. DOWNLOAD the materials in advance. Quickly scan the materials and make note of the sections most relevant to you.
  3. TAKE TIME to setup and concentrate. For the best viewing experience, create a private workspace using headphones or earbuds, and a recently rebooted computer with minimal applications or browser tabs open.

2. GET SET.

Webcasts and webinars are designed to be interactive. Since you reviewed the materials ahead of time (See #1), you probably have questions. Use the ‘Questions’ or ‘Ask the Instructor’ option to type in a question at any time.

3. GO!

Even with the best of preparation there can be unforeseen problems. Make note in advance of the support email/phone numbers so you can get help quickly if necessary.

4. GIVE FEEDBACK – AND GET GREATER VALUE

Every course offers a survey to let us know how we are doing. We want every learning experience to be the best so survey comments are shared with instructors and support teams. If you would like a response, please let us know.
