Connect With Young Professionals

We believe there's strength in numbers — so much so that we put it on our student t-shirt. That means when you get together with your friends and other LCPA members, you have an instant network of experience to draw from. Take advantage of these opportunities to connect and be smarter together.

Emerging CPAs

Our Emerging CPA Council represents the newly licensed and those working on earning their CPA. They're a great resource for getting questions answered about what it's like to be a CPA and the road to getting there.

Meet Our Student Ambassadors

LCPA's student ambassadors represent us at colleges and universities throughout the state. They recruit new student members and advocate the benefits of becoming a CPA. Contact your school's student ambassador for more information on how to get involved with LCPA. No student ambassador on your campus? Contact Shannon Kelly for more information on becoming an ambassador on your campus at 504.904.1129 or skelly@lcpa.org.

Danielle Castille

Louisiana University at Lafayette

"Student membership has given me so many opportunities throughout college. I was able to earn an LCPA scholarship to help pay for my 30 extra hours, and am now the ambassador for UL Lafayette. I can now show other students how important it is to start networking early in college, so that doors will open up for you as you get closer to graduation. And membership is all benefit and no cost! What Accounting major doesn't like the sound of that?"

Seth Guillory

Louisiana State University

"My LCPA student membership is a great start to a promising future. The scholarship and networking opportunities are a huge help for both my school and career goals. Networking with CPAs across the state gives me the chance to ask real questions about their careers. The discounts on CPA study tools make my goal of becoming a CPA even more attainable."

Reese Templet

University of New Orleans

"I'm a sophomore and accounting major at UNO.Being a part of LCPA, especially as a student, gave me a jump in a competitive career. It has allowed me to network and grow with the other members as we get closer to the 'real' world. The volunteer options give me a great opportunity to both give back to the community and lets us help debunk a lot of myths about being an accountant and, hopefully, bring more interest to the major and CPA position itself! Plus, as a student there is no cost and everything to gain (even a free shirt)."
